For very many years, John D.Johnson had the bulldog named American Bulldog...He was the owner and breeder of the sire named, Johnson's King Kong...King Kong's offspring on site were: Johnson's Cassy, Johnson's Corkeyette 5, Johnson's Diamond, Johnson's Sugar Doll, *Johnson's King's Aristrocrat* (*from which those dogges of the name Blue Star , and shown on this site are descendents of*), Johnson's King's Bruiser Bo 4, Johnson's King's Lady Grace...What an Awesome line up of offspring!!! In the very beginning of the 70's Mr. John D. Johnson took two of the females from this sire King Kong,(which are King's Aristrocrat's half sisters, named Johnson's Sugar Doll (also known as Georgia girl), and Johnson's King's Lady Grace); and he bred them to the English Bulldog named West Champ's High Hopes, which was orchestrated by David Leavitt...This then created Johnson's Sugar Doll 3, and Bullmead's Queen (also known as Gail, that John D. Johnson named in honor of  David Leavitt's wife); and this in good part, was the noticeable beginning of the restoration of the Olde English Bulldogge of yore...Johnson's Incredible Mean Machine line, and Sugar Doll line, came from the pairing of that English bulldog with his American bulldog females...Although as noted, the English Bulldogge at that time was still more long legged and weighing 95 lb.s, and not like the English Bulldogge we are familiar with today... This information is also told of, in the site listed below; and also from the sites listed above, under interviews...
